Crowhurst in East Sussex Village Guide

About Crowhurst in East Sussex

Located just 4 miles outside of historic Battle is the idyllic village of Crowhurst, East Sussex.

Crowhurst is abundant with fascinating nature; boasting several Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI’s). The first is a section of the Fore Wood RSPB reserve, which due to its sandstone formations (known as gyhlls) is a wonderful breeding platform for many species of bird. The second, Combe Haven, is located on the outskirts of Crowhurst and supports a diverse range of plants, flowers and animals.

Crowhurst is also home to Crowhurst Park; one of the finest ‘Holiday Villages’ East Sussex has to offer; which has also been awarded a David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation . Originally a country Estate in the 17th century, the manor house has now been converted into the social hub of Crowhurst Park, with a restaurant, several bars, a coffee longue and an exquisite ballroom. The grounds now include cosy log-cabin accommodation as well as a leisure club which offers a range of treatments and services for guests, including a gym and a swimming pool.

With its mesmerising and unique scenery, Crowhurst is the ideal place for individuals to get in touch with nature, as well as those in search of luxury whilst being nestled away in one of East Sussex’s best-kept secrets.
